Pegasus Physio helps riders understand how their body affects their riding, and how to change it in a way that leads to lasting improvement in the saddle. The focus is not on how riding should look, but on what the rider’s body needs to do to ride more effectively.

Riding places unique biomechanical demands on the rider. Balance, posture, movement control, and adaptability are required over a moving base of support. When the body cannot meet those demands – due to injury, restriction, weakness, or poor coordination – riders compensate. This often shows up as instability, gripping, inconsistent contact, pain, or feeling stuck despite regular coaching.

All work at Pegasus Physio is guided by the Riding Ready framework – a rider-specific approach built on human anatomy and biomechanics, applied directly to the demands of riding.

Pegasus Physio combines clinical physiotherapy with rider biomechanics and movement analysis to support both injury management and performance.
Based at Racewood HQ in Cheshire, sessions use the advanced Racewood Dressage Pro and Eventer simulators to assess rider posture, symmetry, and movement patterns, helping translate physical understanding into real, sustainable change in the saddle.
